AYURVEDIC YOGA/THAI THERAPY
THAI AND MUSCLE BODY WORK
TRADITIONAL INDIAN/THAI BODY WORK
Traditional Ancient Thai massage is a unique form of Bodywork that incorporates Hatha Yoga, acupressure and reflexology with origins dating back about 2500 years. Some say it is the sister science to Yoga. Like yoga where we work to open the Nadis (internal rivers of energy) Thai massage works on the sin lines of the body to allow the flow of the energy though out the body.
Thai Massage blends styles from Asian neighbors passed down through the generations. Unlike the scooping and continuous strokes of Western massage, the Thai method uses point pressure, muscle stretching and compression, done in a rhythmic movement of gentle rocking. In Thai massage it is not just the hands that are used to free tension from the body, but the feet, forearms, knees, and elbows as well.
In some sessions I incorporate the wisdom and balance of Ayurveda with Thai and in other sessions yoga, deep tissue release are combined to benefit spaciousness with the benefit of a traditional Thai body work. These sessions require lotions or oils depending on the session.
